Why An Indoor Playground Should be Installed by a Professional
Yes – there are some indoor playground systems that you can buy from a big box store that are designed for DIY self-installation. However, while some of those are good quality, they don’t come close to what you can expect when you buy a professional grade indoor play structure from Indoor Playgrounds International.
There’s a big difference between our indoor playground equipment and the type of product you can find elsewhere. Which means there’s a big difference between the installation process of other systems versus our indoor playscapes. Here’s why we only allow professionals to install our play systems.
1. Child Safety
We’ve put the safety of children at the top of the list of importance with indoor playground installation, and it always will be. Our indoor playground systems are designed with the safety of children in mind. Maintaining those safety standards demands a level of attention to detail and skill that most DIY installers just don’t possess – not to mention the right tools and experience to get the job done right.
Every nut, screw and bolt on our systems must be tightened perfectly. Every piece must be precision fitted. We just can’t guarantee that the exceptional quality and safety standards we design our systems for will be met by a home installer. So, we limit who can install them to make sure every child is as safe as possible.
2. Site Preparation
In order to ensure that all of our indoor playgrounds meet our very high standards (and yours) the area they will be installed needs to be carefully measured and prepared.
Different structures need to have different, precise spacing from walls, ceilings, and other building features to ensure that they are safe to use.
Floors and other structures must be carefully inspected to ensure that they are structurally sound and ready for the installation, and our installers need to ensure that every surface is completely level and plumb. You could say that there’s almost as much work that goes into preconstruction with our indoor play structures as what happens after we start the installation.
3. Detailed Specifications
When we build an indoor playground, we create a precise design, use the very best materials, and have a highly detailed specification for installation that must be met to the letter.
Each part is carefully manufactured to the highest possible international standards, and in some cases, they are custom designed for our indoor playscape structure. Which means that they have to be installed exactly according to manufacturer’s instructions.
All of our playground installers have been specially trained to be able to install each part correctly, and they all have the right tools for the job.
4. Handling Changes and Variations
Even once the installation site has been inspected, measured, and prepared, and all the indoor playground equipment is on site, there’s always a chance that something unexpected comes up.
Our professional playground installers are carefully trained to identify this change, and to stop work and see instructions before continuing. This helps to ensure that even unforeseen problems and changes are handled correctly, and everything remains safe and continues to meet our (and your) high standards.
5. Complex Plans
The custom indoor playground systems that arrive on our customers’ sites are not what you can buy off the shelf from a local big box store. They are complex systems that are carefully designed and created by a professional indoor playground manufacturer.
While many of the parts included in the system might look similar, each one has been included for installation in a very specific place, in a very specific order. Imagine the most complex flat pack furniture you’ve ever had to assemble, and then multiply that by a factor of ten or more.
The plans that need to be followed to correctly assemble our custom playground structures are simply far too complicated for most DIY installers. Which is why we always make sure it’s left to the professionals! Trust us, you want to put your feet up and enjoy the service on this one!
6. Specialist Tools
Another reason we design our indoor playscapes to be professionally installed by our specialized and trained installation crews is that we know they have the right tool for the job. There’s a long list of equipment you just won’t find in a DIY toolbox that is required to correctly install our systems.
Not only do you need the exact right tools, but you also need the right sizes of each one (and we usually recommend more than one, just in case something breaks along the way!) It would simply be too expensive to purchase all the tools you need for proper installation and only use them once.
7. Our Warranty
IPI takes pride in manufacturing the very best quality play equipment, and we back that up with our limited warranty. In order to be able to offer that warranty that protects you against system failure and more, we have to be completely certain that everything is done exactly according to plan.
Which means we need to have complete control over not only the manufacturing but also the installation process.
We’re Professional Grade
As you can see, there’s a lot that goes into creating professional grade indoor playground systems and ensuring that they are installed to the very highest possible standards. We refuse to compromise when it comes to design, materials and attention to detail, and you should too.
So, if you’re looking for an indoor play structure that you know will be perfectly safe and stand the test of time (and many happy, screaming, climbing kids!), you should always choose a professional grade indoor playground manufacturer, and choose a professional installation team.
It might take a little more time than choosing a system off the shelf and putting it together yourself, but the results will speak for themselves.
